Learning by Doing

Children learn best by doing…

By exploring, experimenting, role-playing, building, observing, predicting, creating, moving --- simply by playing, children learn about their world.  At our center, the children have many opportunities to engage in hands-on activities, and the teachers ask open-ended questions, scaffolding their learning and supporting self-discovery.  The process of how children work is far more significant than the final product.

Each child is valuable and we believe in fostering each child’s sense of self-worth.  Each child has the right to feel secure, the right to be respected, and the right to be built up.  When children value themselves, they are better able to build meaningful relationships and are more successful learners – in school and life.
